Chris Pratt because he’s freaking hilarious. I’ve read it twice already and it’s a 900-page novel. What novel would you read multiple times? The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley. Armentrout, Marion Zimmer Bradley, Sarah J. Which authors inspire you? Colleen Hoover, Chelsea Fine, Jennifer L. If you were to choose another genre to write in, what would it be? A thriller because I want to explore my dark side. Have you ever experienced writer’s block? If so, how did you overcome it? Yes. I may have transferred some of my idiosyncrasies to my characters. I want her to be my best friend.ĭo any of your characters reflect facets of your personality? To an extent, yeah. Who has been your favorite character to write and why? Samantha Munroe from The Prophecy of Arcadia is my favorite because she’s fierce and loyal and has a killer fashion sense. What process do you use to plan your novels? I use the seven point plot structure by Dan Wells, and then I write an outline. I didn’t know what I was doing and it’s a miracle that I actually finished and published that one. What was the hardest story for you to write? My first novel, The Prophecy of Arcadia. So I thought it would be fun to write about a character part of a boy band. I’m not a fan, but I remember my crushes when I was a teen (New Kids on the Block). Wonderwall, my NA Contemporary Romance novel, was inspired by the world’s obsession with One Direction.

What motivated the plot of your latest book? Ha! You’re going to laugh. What is the strangest subject or topic you’ve ever written? I can’t think of one. Why did you choose to write Young Adult Paranormal and Contemporary Romance? I write what I like to read. Why did you start writing? I wrote my first book on a whim and found my true passion. You started out wanting to be a fashion designer. Many of them did not start out as writers. She is currently working on the Arcadian Wars series, the Elements series, and the Love Me, I’m Famous series. Soars resides in Florida with her husband and baby daughter. One page turned into ten pages, ten pages turned into a hundred, and before she knew, her first novel, The Prophecy of Arcadia, was born. But one day, out of the blue, she had an idea for a book. With a background in fashion design she thought she would follow that path. Soars always knew creative arts were her calling but not in a million years did she think she would become an author.
